C-G: Armoured Rapidash

Hooray! It's a Rapidash!

Finally done it, I know it's overdue, but it's better than not having anything haha.
Also I know it's larger than the recommended size. If that's a problem please tell me.

I forgot that drawing horses was hard, and now we have some lighting issues to take care of? I did not expect all this.

I was going with a Charizard at first, but I discussed with my friend and he ended up prompting Rapidash because his impression of me is that I like unicorns a LOT. So my prompt was "unicorn with a horse armour", and I picked Rapidash.

I... forgot how hard it was drawing a horse. I started with a traditional sketch and worked on the armour there. It took me several references to get what I was doing, but eventually with the basic shapes ready, I lined it over digitally and coloured it in. Then I struck trouble with the flames again. I had to take a LOT of time to actually think how I would do the flames- which I eventually split into four layers. Not only did I struggle with the odd shape, I then had to wonder about the lighting. Overall it ended up being rather sloppy (due to lack of layers) and also a mess with the lighting effect (saddle-thing could be more shiny?).

While I'm proud of this picture, I'm oddly not at the same time.
Is that a normal thing?
